Ingredients for Bread Pudding
- ½ loaf of French bread loaf
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ cup raisins (Optional)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided
- ⅓ cup sliced almonds or other chopped nuts (optional)
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 (15 ounce) package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 pound apples (such as Braeburn), cored, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch or tapioca flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
